Often we find on the African continent that the entrepreneurs and private equity are not speaking the same language. This is the gap which Mauritius can bridge. The language is governance. African SMEs and entrepreneurs may have excellent products and success in their domestic market but they are not structured for international expansion, and they are not built in a way that will scale easily.

Mauritius must ensure that it continues to have a unique value proposition both for African governments and companies. The evolution of the services industry and adding value to Africa is where we can win.
